So, how does online coaching work?

First, we set up a time to speak to one another for about an hour (either on the phone or in person — if you are local). We discuss your goals, current and past training and determine your goals and expectations. Based on our discussion, I create an individualized, custom training plan (no cookie cutter plans!). Your training plan is delivered in two-week increments, so it can be adapted based on how you are progressing. Your training runs and workouts are logged online (see more about that in the next question) and feedback is provided. And, of course, you have access to me via email or text for questions and concerns.

How do I receive my training plans and How do I log my workouts?

Training plans are delivered via Final Surge. As part of your plan, you will be given FREE access to Final Surge. Training plans are arranged in a calendar format with detailed instructions for workout. Logging a run, swim, bike or other activity is simple — upload your GPS data, Strava results, or manually add your data. Add any comments as you feel necessary. There is also a Final Surge mobile app that allows you to use your smart phone. I review your progress and provide feedback via Final Surge.

I like personal attention. Will online coaching provide the support I’m used to?

I am very hands on — not just some faceless avatar. Your custom training plan will be detailed with exactly what you need to do each day (distance, pace, workout, etc.). Once you log a workout, I review it and provide any feedback needed and answer questions or concerns. Your training plan is adapted as needed. And, I am available to meet for individual runs, bike, or swims to give encouragement and feedback. Plus, I am always a text, call or email away to answer any questions.

How does billing work?

Payment must be received before services start. Each session starts the first Monday after payment has cleared. That payment is due before services are activated. After the first session, if you wish to continue services, you will automatically be renewed for the agreed upon session session, unless you cancel prior to payment due date. I accept payments via Paypal (please contact me if you wish to make other arrangements).
